Hire Sail for Premmie Babies 2002
Overview
-
 Beginning
on the 30th March through to the 6th April 2002 Tony will
sail his yacht affectionately known as 'Sal' and revive his
1996 7-day, non-stop sail around Lake Macquarie. This non-stop
sail and the subsequent "Peoples Party for Premmie Babies" to
be held on the final Saturday night will be a continuation
of fundraising for the John Hunter Children's Hospital (JHCH).
To date a total of $90,000 has been raised for the Neo-natal
Intensive Care Unit (NICU) from his Around the World effort,
and he is determined to ensure that the fundraising activities
continue.
Since
1993 Tony has raised over $200,000 for charity.

The Challenge -
Set a course on Lake Macquarie and sail continuously for
seven days and nights completing the event with a spectacular "Peoples Party for Premmie Babies" raising
as much money as possible for the John Hunter Children's Hospital NICU. This
event is a continuation of the specific task to purchase Vital Signs Systems
Monitors for Premature Babies. There were 13 of these units desperately needed,
at a cost of $18,000 each. With the money raised to-date six units have been
purchased with each unit giving these little wonders a chance at life.

Peoples
Party For Premmie Babies -
On
Saturday 6th April we need you to absolutely pack the auditorium
at West Leagues for the Kennards Hire Peoples Party for Premmie
Babies.
So
come along and join in the fun, be entertained, bid at the
auction, dance to Radio Ga Ga and be prepared to have a fantastic
time!
